Pretty Little Liars Mid Season Premiere Review - She's Better Now... possibly?

Pretty Little Liars is back with its mid-season premiere entitled She’s Better Now. So the beginning of this episode starts off somewhat odd with sneak ins and rapid skateboarding. All I will say is if that happened to me I’m not sure I could be as calm as Hanna was but she handles it well. Skateboarding gone crazy is what I like to call this next scene and this is also the first time we see Toby in action which is interesting because he goes from crazy to talking to Spencer the next morning at school very easily. Let’s for a moment disregard Toby’s bipolar tendencies and focus on the plot forming for the episode.

We have a race taking place in Rosewood because everyone wants to run through the streets and woods of this town where everyone is harboring a deep dark secret… sounds legit. Things are hard for Aria this time around not only does she not know how to tell Ezra the truth but let’s say a certain person she does not get along with comes back to stir the pot just a little more. We also need to factor in that she has to deal with the girls suspecting her father of being involved with Allison a little too involved…

Emily is having a really hard time with her parents in this episode but I mean can you blame them? Who wants to let their daughter walk out of the house after half of what she’s been through let alone run a race? On a lighter note we see Hanna’s grandma who adds a little light to this usually dark show. Oh and did I mention Mona’s back yeah as in ATTENDING ROSEWOOD HIGH back! Let’s say her welcome isn’t the warmest but that might change in time … Poor Lucas I don’t know what’s up with him honestly he’s so sweet yet a little too close to Mona like visiting her in the nuthouse close. Lucas might be someone to watch I mean we did think Toby was innocent right? In Rosewood everyone’s a suspect even the janitors…

Spencer is very on edge in most of the episode but what else is new. She really does want to look out for Jason let’s just say his new BFF isn’t the most trustworthy or sane person. This of course adds to the mystery that is Pretty Little Liars. Might I add through this whole episode Hanna’s grandma is genius and a great voice of reason. There’s just something about Grandma Marin that make Rosewood less creepy. I can’t wait to see what else happens in this season! So many good points in this episode really help connect the puzzle that is the whole Allison situation. Of course I can’t tell you what they are I don’t want A going after me!!…. Guess you’ll just have to tune in Jan. 7!

Stay tuned for more on Pretty Little Liars
