Universal Orlando excited many this year when they announced plans for a future theme park. Epic Universe will be Universal’s next theme park and details are still scarce on what we can expect.
Some recent activity with Orlando permits may shed some light though. Some of the permits filed seem to suggest three possible attractions. Even though it hasn’t been officially announced, it seems Universal may be designing rides based on Mario Kart, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. Eager fans are waiting for Universal to announce details of their plans once they start construction on the land.
We already know that Universal is constructing a Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan. Although it’s not a certainty, some people expect the Orlando theme park to copy Japan. Universal Parks and Resort Chairman and CEO, Tom Williams, revealed some of the details regarding the Japan park when he held a September press conference. The first phase will include two Nintendo-based rides. Super Mario Kart Ride and Yoshi’s Adventures are expected to open to the public next spring.
Universal does promise the whole land will be immersive and interactive. It’ll be amazing to see video games legends brought to life for guests!
We will be following for details to report in the future.
