Fire Prompts Evacuation at EPCOT’s France Pavilion

Update: 8:28 pm, Cause of Epcot fire was a Cooler in the behind the scenes area of France Pavilion. Remy Ratatouille Adventure and Impressions de France remain closed at this time.

Large plumes of smoke were reported emanating from behind the France pavilion at EPCOT on the evening of March 22nd, leading to the evacuation of the pavilion’s restaurants.

Reports began surfacing around 7:00 p.m. from park guests who witnessed heavy, dark smoke rising from the area. X users captured the smoke visible above the park.

Despite the incident, the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction continued to operate as usual, according to updates on the My Disney Experiences app at the time of publication.

The cause of the smoke and the extent of any potential fire are currently under investigation. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
