Germany Pavilion

Germany Pavilion

When you enter the Germany Pavilion, you are transported back into a German village circa the 16th century.  The cobblestone plaza, the fountain, the shops, and even a statue of St. George all ignite the atmosphere.  There is even the faint sound of the six-piece Bavarian band playing authentic music that can be heard from their regular spot inside the Biergarten Restaurant.

After you have visited the shops here, which include a crystal store, a stein store, one features christmas ornaments and handmade toys, as well as one selling handmade caramels, you may be in the mood for some authentic German fare.  While Biergarten is an excellent choice for a sit down meal, not everyone has the time or the money for a visit to Disney’s version of Oktoberfest.  If that’s the case, Sommerfest is the perfect choice.  And if you are not hungry at all, its worth it for a quick beer stop!(Check out more info on our Drink around the World Showcase Page)

If you are just looking for a treat be sure to stop by Karmell Kutche for some of the best Caramel Corn in all of WDW!

The Germany pavilion does not have any attractions and it seems smaller than some of the others, but the dining and drinking options make it worth the stop.  Plus many of the shops here could be easily overlooked as could the scale model train village. The feeling of being in a Bavarian village is quaint and exciting as well.  Even if you don’t plan to make a purchase, stop by, enjoy the atmosphere, and take some pictures by the St. George fountain!

  1. This is a wonderful place looks just like the real place. I loved inside of the Biergarden with the feel of really being outside in a real Biergarden
