Guests looking forward to a dining experience at two highly anticipated Disney Springs restaurants will have to wait a little bit longer. Both Planet Hollywood Observatory and Paddlefish have run into unexpected delays that continue to push back their originally anticipated opening dates of fall 2016.
According to the Planet Hollywood website, reservations at the Disney Springs location are currently being accepted for dates starting January 16, 2017. The website previously listed an available date of December 15 followed by a date of January 3. Guests have been notified that any reservations prior to January 16 have been cancelled.
Paddlefish, the seafood-centric restaurant formerly known as Fulton’s Crab House, is behind schedule too. According to @Paddlefish on Twitter, the restaurant’s exterior signage just went up this week and that a January opening date is expected.
Both Planet Hollywood Observatory and Paddlefish held job fairs this past week where they are still hiring for numerous positions.
Let’s hope that the opening dates truly are “coming soon” and there will be no further delays. In the meantime, reservations at other Disney Springs restaurants can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.
