To Infinity and Beyond! The Rotten Tomatoes score for Pixar’s Lightyear is out now!
As of Thursday evening, Lightyear holds a 79% score on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. That’s a great score by most standards, but it’s currently a few points lower than the previous Toy Story films. The movie debuts this weekend in theaters.

This sci-fi adventure follows the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy. In the movie we will see the legendary Space Ranger after he is marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew. As Buzz tries to find a way back home through space and time, he is joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his charming robot companion cat Sox. But of course complicated matters are threatening the mission with the arrival of Zurg, an imposing presence with an army of ruthless robots and mysterious agenda.
Featuring the voices of Chris Evans, Uzo Aduba, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Keke Palmer, Efren Ramirez, Peter Sohn, Dale Soules, Taika Waititi and Isiah Whitlock Jr., “Lightyear” releases June 17, 2022.
