Pixar has shared the theatrical release date for Inside Out 2.
News of the sequel was officially announced at last weekend’s D23 Expo during Pixar Animation’s panel. The voice of Joy, Amy Poehler, arrived on stage to huge applause—especially when she informed the audience that “INSIDE OUT 2” is in the works at Pixar.
Director Kelsey Mann, producer Mark Nielsen and writer Meg LeFauve are hard at work on the all-new adventure inside the head of now-teenager Riley—who may or may not be feeling all kinds of new Emotions.

Inside Out is the sixth Pixar franchise to earn a sequel, following in the footsteps of Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and Monsters, Inc.
Disney and Pixar confirm the movie will release on June 14, 2024.
The original Inside Out starred Phyllis Smith, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Black, and Bill Hader. The first movie ended with Sadness and Joy coming to terms with each other. It was the encounter with Riley’s imaginary childhood buddy, Bing Bong that made Joy ponder about Sadness and its significance.
