Pixar is reportedly going to announce a sequel to “Inside Out” at the D23 Expo animation panel.
According to Meaww, the sequel will follow the teenage years of Riley as she approached adulthood. Even though Pixar Animation Studios has yet to officially announce an Inside Out 2, the cast and crew of the 2015 movie have expressed a desire to make a part two. The source who discussed the sequel plans is hoping official news will be shared at this year’s D23 event.

After Inside Out premiered to critical acclaim and over $800 million at the box office, the notion of potentially getting a sequel or follow-up has been on the minds of fans.
“Inside Out” ended with Sadness and Joy coming to terms with each other. It was the encounter with Riley’s imaginary childhood buddy, Bing Bong that made Joy ponder about Sadness and its significance.
If the story picks up from where it ended, it may continue with its old cast of Inside Out, Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Lewis Black as Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear and Anger respectively.
