Yo ho, yo ho, it’s a pirate’s life for me, and you, and who ever else wants to dress like the infamous Redd! The new Pirate Redd Dress is inspired by the infamous lady of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction who sparked controversy with her new role. To complete the look, there is also a fanciful treasure chest shaped purse!
This new Pirate’s of the Caribbean inspired dress is part of the Dress Shop Disney collection. Redd’s Dress retails for $128.00, and the Treasure Chest purse is $85.00. You can find these at the Dress Shop in Disney Springs and Downtown Disney, as well as Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom, and other shops in the Disney Parks where the Dress Shop dresses are sold.
Redd’s dress has been given the dapper treatment, taking iconic “pirate” details and mixing them into a style that’s both modern and vintage. Puffy sleeves fall off the shoulders, with a bit of lace trim, and a faux corset waist lined with roses laces up in the front. The skirt flairs out in a ruffly twirl, with an printed under ayer that peeks out.
The under layer has the iconic stripes we’ve come to recognize with pirate garb, and features a floral print. The print of roses rings around the stripes, with alternating images of Redd, and the Pirates of the Caribbean skull and crossbones motif.
The treasure chest purse is a brilliant accessory. Shaped just like a treasure chest, this purse has metallic gold accents to bring the bag to life, and a removable shoulder strap. There is even an “lock” design on the front.
Once zipped open the purse reveals ample room for all your treasures, and a red lining emblazoned with skull and crossbones.
What do you think of the new Pirate Redd Dress and matching Treasure Chest purse?
