Piper Curda & Bobby Moynihan Talk Shop in Disney’s “Teacup Confessions”
In the second episode of Disney’s “Teacup Confessions,” Pixar’s Hoppers stars Bobby Moynihan and Piper Curda take their turn in the spotlight. The duo “spilled the tea” on their latest project and shared personal stories, all while caught in the dizzying whirl of Disneyland’s iconic Mad Tea Party attraction.

During the episode, the duo shared their differing Disney styles: Moynihan prefers meeting characters with his children, while Curda is all about the attractions. They did, however, find common ground in their shared admiration for Cobie Smulders, admitting they both felt starstruck by her.
When discussing the perks of voice acting versus live-action, Moynihan joked that animation requires significantly less showering. Curda also highlighted a surprising production fact—despite being the lead stars of Hoppers, the two never actually recorded their lines together in the studio.
The pair struggled to stay on the same page when asked to describe their new film in just one word; Moynihan went literal with “movie,” while Curda chose the more thematic “beavers.” In the upcoming Pixar film, Curda voices Mabel Tanaka, a 19-year-old who “hops” her consciousness into a robotic beaver to communicate with the animal kingdom. Moynihan co-stars as King George, the eccentric leader of the beaver colony.
