Magic Kingdom entrance construction

Walt Disney World sure does have its hands full with all of their current projects underway- from the new rides and experiences that will be opening in the new year to each of the park’s entrance enhancements. Magic Kingdom’s entrance construction, however, is a little more complex than the other parks.

Today we have a photo update for you on the current status of Magic Kingdom‘s new entrance.

As soon as you step off of the monorail, the construction site is present to your right. Of course, Disney wants to keep it magical so you have to be a little creative if you want to see some behind-the-scenes. The best view of the project is from the monorail!

It’s clear that this project is pretty expansive considering it stretches all the way from the monorail station to some of the last MagicBand touch points on the side closest to the bus stations.

Now this structure, pictured above, is what is supposed to be Magic Kingdom’s new and permanent security checkpoint. It looks like they have finished with the foundation of the project and are now taking care of the roof.

This security checkpoint will definitely help to better corral all of the traffic with so many new rides and experiences.

Who ese is excited for Magic Kingdom’s entrance to be back to its usual magical aesthetic!
