New Animated Family Comedy Series ‘Hey A.J Kicks Off Jan. 13 on Disney Jr.
Disney Jr. is set to launch a brand new, whimsical, and music-filled animated family comedy series, “Hey A.J.!”, inspired by the imagination of children’s book author and former Super Bowl champion Martellus Bennett and his family. The series, which promises colorful 2D animation and relatable storylines for preschoolers, is poised to make its grand debut with a marathon of the first seven episodes on Tuesday, Jan. 13, on Disney Jr. (7:00-10:15 a.m. EST/PST), followed by airings on Disney Channel and Disney Jr. On Demand later that day.
The excitement continues the following day, as all seven premiere episodes become available to stream on Disney+ on Wednesday, Jan. 14, with additional new episodes scheduled to debut later in the year.

An Ordinary Life Made Extraordinary
“Hey A.J.!” centers on a highly imaginative young girl named A.J. and her constant companion, her stuffed bunny sidekick, Theo. Together, A.J. uses her big imagination to transform the ordinary moments of everyday life into extraordinary adventures. The series is packed with energetic, imaginative songs designed for families to enjoy together.
A Team of Award-Winning Talent
The project brings together a formidable creative team. Bennett serves as executive producer alongside Emmy® Award winner Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, best known as the co-creator of the hit animated series “Phineas and Ferb.” Also executive producing is GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter and producer Michael Hodges (“The Garfield Movie”), representing Surfing Giant Studios. The series is a production of Surfing Giant Studios in association with Disney Jr., from Disney Branded Television.

Star-Studded Voice Cast
The core cast is led by Amari McCoy as the titular A.J., with Martellus Bennett voicing the character Marty. The series also stars Jhené Aiko as Siggi, Juliet Donenfeld as Jessie, Innocent Ekakitie as Jazz, and David Mitchell as Theo.
Adding to the buzz is a remarkable lineup of celebrity guest voice actors, including:

- Cristo Fernández
- Bootsy Collins
- Kate Micucci
- Maulik Pancholy
- Calum Scott
- Lena Waithe
- Retired NASA astronaut and engineer Leland Melvin (guest starring as himself)
Fans can get an early taste of the series when the official theme song is released this Friday, Dec. 5, through Walt Disney Records.
