PetSmart Launches 2026 Thrills and Chills Halloween Collection
PetSmart is officially summoning the spooky season with the launch of its exclusive 2026 Thrills & Chills Halloween Collection. Featuring a full lineup of costumes, plush toys, savory treats, and festive accessories, this year’s seasonal release caters to dogs, cats, reptiles, and small pets.
According to a recent PetSmart survey, 71% of pet parents plan to include their pets in Halloween festivities this year—from trick-or-treating and neighborhood costume contests to family photos. With nearly half of dog and cat owners (47%) planning to dress up their pets, the new collection is designed to showcase every pet’s unique personality.
“Every pet has its own quirky personality, and the Halloween season is a chance for pet parents to show that off,” said Matt Byrnes, senior vice president of merchandising at PetSmart. “We created our 2026 Thrills & Chills collection to help them celebrate together with costumes, toys, treats and accessories for dogs, cats, reptiles and small pets.”

Costumes for Every Pet Personality
Whether your pet prefers a classic look, a pop-culture reference, or something downright funny, the 2026 costume lineup covers all the bases across species:
- Classics & Creepy Favorites: Timeless pumpkin outfits, bat wings, angel and devil sets, glow-in-the-dark skeleton sweatsuits, and dragons. For a scarier touch, creepy crawlers like spiders, scorpions, and snakes are available for dogs, cats, small pets, and reptiles.
- Trendy & Hilarious Picks: Standout options include a Highland cow, a pink cowboy hat and bandana set, a lobster, a princess outfit, a cowboy rider, and food-inspired fits like bananas and hot dogs.

To fill up Halloween baskets, PetSmart introduced seasonal goodies like pumpkin cookies, bone hand biscuits, savory mummy meat sticks, and vampire teeth dog toys. Western-inspired plush flatties (cactuses, horseshoes, and skulls) and a giant bat plush are also part of the toy box rollout. Plus, purchases from the Halloween-themed Chance & Friends plush line help support pets in need.
For budget-conscious shoppers, several items are available for under $10, including:
- “Tricks for Treats” graphic tees and festive bandanas
- “Gourdgeous” pumpkin and candy corn cookie treats
- Plush bats, werewolves, and pumpkins
- Interactive cat toys like pumpkin wobblers, boot kickers, and bat swatters

Beyond merchandise, PetSmart is offering themed experiences at select store locations:
