Peter Pan's Flight Closing for Long Refurbishment this Summer

Head’s up for anyone heading to Magic Kingdom soon: one of the parks classic attractions, Peter Pan’s Flight, will be closing for an extended refurbishment this summer. According to the official Walt Disney World operating hours calendar, the beloved ride will be unavailable from July 8 through August 20, 2024, with a reopening date set for August 21, 2024.

This refurbishment period is longer than typical maintenance closures, suggesting that significant updates are on the horizon. Recently, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit for Peter Pan’s Flight, which includes the description “Install set elements.” While Disney has not provided specific details about the changes, the permit hints at exciting enhancements awaiting guests when the ride reopens.
