With the Disney Store closing down most stores in the United States, it comes to us as a big surprise to see a new permit filed with Orange County Florida for construction on a possible new Disney Store on International Drive in the Orlando Area.

According to this new permit it lists building out new retail space on International Drive in Orlando.
As you can see on the map the area is northeast of Walt Disney World just off I-4 on International Drive just down the street from the Florida Mall.
Here is a closer look at the area from Google Street View.
Earlier this year we shared the news about a new billboard coming to the I-4 Area. At the time the Orlando Business Journal listed a new retail space as part of the project.

This location is about 20 minutes from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and we are unsure how big the retail space will be.
So far no official announcement has been made to the public and we don’t know if this will be a large Disney Store or a smaller retail space like Disney has inside of Target across the US.
