A new permit was filed in Orange County for construction of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster. The upcoming Epcot attraction is an exciting ride concept. The new permits were for construction related to set pieces, lightning controls, graphics, and entrance of the attraction.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an upcoming indoor roller coaster at Epcot. The attraction is being constructed on the site of the former Universe of Energy attraction. It’s the first Marvel Comics themed attraction for Walt Disney World.
The ride is based on the popular MCU Guardians of the Galaxy movie series. It’s a roller coaster with vehicles capable of rotating a full 360 degrees. Another unique feature of the roller coaster is that it will launch backwards! Guests will enjoy launching backwards into space while joining the Guardians crew on their mission. Saving the galaxy with Marvel superheroes will be a fun new adventure for guests at Epcot!
Many fans are looking forward to seeing a new attraction featuring cosmic heroes such as Star-Lord, Rocket Raccon, and Groot. We will provide more information on the development of the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction when it becomes available.
