Passporter Guidebook a Day Giveaway – Day 5

Passporter Guidebook a Day Giveaway - Day 5

Great news everyone! Chip and Company has partnered with one of the best Disney Guidebooks and Forums on the planet!! I am excited to announce that Passporter is our official Disney Forum and Premier Disney Planning Guide.

In return we are sponsoring the Going Behind the Scenes: Trivia, News, and Rumors at Walt Disney World in the Passporter Forums! So be sure to pop in there and say hi!

In celebration of our partnership we are giving away a ton of Passporter Guidebooks this week! (Thanks to Jennifer)

Here is a list of books we are giving away all this week.

To enter today’s giveaway of the Disney 500 Tips paperback is tell us a Tip you have learned either from the Chip and Co site or from visiting Disney yourself. For example one of the biggest tips I tell new people heading to the parks is wear comfortable shoes. Walking around in Flip Flops all day is not good for you and you will get tired alot sooner than if you wore walking shoes.

It is just that easy. I will pick one person from all that entries tonight at midnight to win this awesome Disney 500 Tips paperback guidebook!

Remember the more you post and share the better your chances are to win. So post, tweet, and share as often as you like!

I will post the winners name in Facebook so be sure to use a valid name and a way to contact me below. Bonus entries will go out to anyone who Tweets, or Shares this Giveaway on Facebook (Like or Share Buttons)

Good Luck Everyone!

P.S. – If you didn’t want to wait to win you could always purchase the Passporter Guidebooks at the links above!

  3. when going to the parks if you are prone to blood clots, always rent an ecv or a wheelcair. It will always save you the expense of an overnight stay, and a huge doctors bill. this happened to me on our last trip. It wasnt fun and it was painful.

  5. Make sure to put moleskin on the parts of your feet that are prone to blisters! Also, carry little flavor packs with you since the FL water tastes terrible!

  8. We always get to the park with the kids early, I go to the first ride with the kids (like Peter Pan) that we HAVE to ride and my husband takes off to a different side of the park (usuavlly big thunder railroad) and gets fast passes for that ride. We have 4 kids (6,6,4,2) so we usually meet at the first ride at about the same time. Then we know we can ride those 2 with no wait!!!

  9. If you want to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table-you need to book like 6 months in advance to make sure you get in or you won’t!

  10. An oldie but a goodie-still take your Pal Mickey with you if you have one (as they don’t make them anymore) as they are still programmed to give tips, advice and play games (great for longer queues).

  13. Use the Disney Photopass system for your treasured photos. That way you get professionally taken photos. However, do check them at the designated photo viewing points as one time we got another family’s pics on our card! Meant though we could go back & get the pics re-done rather than noticing when we got home & being disappointed.

  16. Tie a Big Ribbon or Bandana on your stroller to make it stand out from the others. They always move them from the entrance to the exit and they all look alike.

  19. Get the latest reservations for character breakfast that you can and you can get some one on one time with the characters. At Cape May my daughter got to dance with Minnie for 10 minutes.

  25. Pencils boxes come in handy for holding everything from receipts to pins while in the hotel room. They are easily packed when time to head home as well.

  31. Living in Tampa, we go to Disney quite often. We try to go the opposite of what people on vacations would do.

  33. Don’t forget comfortable shoes! Flip flops may be your preferance, but after a few days, even comfortable flip flops start to hurt. Sneakers or walking shoes are a must!

  36. Take time to really enjoy your surroundings. Rushing from attraction to attraction gets things in, but taking it all in really creates memories. 🙂

  42. My biggest tip also involves what bag to carrying. If you are going to carry an extra bag, our experience was that a small daypack allowed you to have what you needed, but was comfortable and light enough for the all day experience. We made the mistake of having some kind of single shoulder strap sling bag the first day. It wooped both of us all day and I had a bad shoulder mark the rest of the week where it cut into my shoulder. The rest of the week I used my osprey daypack and it was easy and comfortable.

  43. I would tell everyone if you are planning to take a bag to the park with you only take what you need otherwise you’ll be carrying around stuff for no reason.

  45. My biggest tip is PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!!! Don’t think that you can go there and have a magical fairy tale vacation, just because you’re at Disney. There are WAY too many factors, options, details, events, etc… for you to go there without doing some serious pre-planning. Know what you want to do, see, eat, play, experience before you get there. Then make it happen!

  47. I am learning stuff everyday! This will be my first disney trip so I’ve bought books recommended and also read about the disney plan, if someone didn’t research before going to disney, they would be such a lost person! HAHA! Thank you Chip & Co. for doing a great job!

  48. stay hydrated, lots of sunscreen and pack as light as possible. I also use a baggalini bag and love all the pockets to stay organized.

  49. Try not to rush from one ride to the next, take the time to enjoy the magic, know that you will not be able to see everything in one day or even one visit.

  50. Take time to stop and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Sometimes people rush so much, they miss the small details that make Disney special.

  51. Make your dining reservations as soon as you can and try to get breakfast reservations before the park opens to everyone that way you can see it before it gets too crowded.

  53. If staying on property let them deliver what you buy to your resort, that way you have less to carry around or you don’t have to worry about forgetting to buy it. You can also have things delivered to the front gate of the park if you are not staying on property.

  55. Don’t be afraid to split up. Even when it is just me, my husband & our young kids we will take turns and get baby swap passes so we can see and do more. While I’m on a ride he might be in a charcter greet line and so on.

  56. Get to the parks before rope drop. You can get more done in that first hour than you do the rest of the day sometimes!

  58. We ALWAYS do fantasyland first since it is over crowded later in the day! We pack a cooler with sandwiches and drinks so we only have to buy one meal in the park…we get a locker for extra things, but now that we have a new little one, we can use the stroller for extra food and drinks! Remember your sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes…can’t agree more with Chip & Co..I wore flip flops on one of my first trips and remember my feet being so sore the next day I could barely walk around the pool!!!

  60. One big tip we learned is if your resort is not close enough to take a mid day break and you are at Epcot, grab a snack and beverage and go sit in the beautiful shaded gardens behind United Kingdom. It’s a great place to relax and regroup and people watch. We have met a couple of characters back there too where we were the only ones there. We spent time with Winnie the Pooh and Mary Poppins and nobody ever saw them back there.

  61. if you pin trade – we buy large things of pins on ebay, then we split them up (the ones we want to trade) and put them in a bag and so when we go to trade we just pull out the bag and then put the newly acquired pin on the lanyard, instead of taking the pin off, giving them the pin. it’s a lot faster and then you don’t have to look through the ones on the lanyard and decided what your going to trade

  63. bring refillable water bottles, you can fill them up any where. we always fill them up at the room first then we refill them as we go

  65. If you’re leaving the Magic Kingdom late at night and trying to get to the Magic Kingdom parking lot or the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC), don’t wait on the “Express Monorail” line with the thousands of other guests; instead, take the “Resort Monorail”, which has a MUCH shorter line and also stops at the TTC.

  66. if you bring a bag, only bring things you really need in it, the more you carry the heavier your bag is

  67. Make a plan! I have had friends go and say “We don’t need a plan we can figure it out when we get there” Not one of them came back overly happy. They spent way to much time figuring out where they were going and what to do when they got there! You might not want to make a charts like myself, lol BUT even a little planning will go a long way~

  68. I submitted a few tips to the PassPorter: I use a product called a Chilly Pad from Frogg Togg! It stays cool as long as it stays wet. So I wet it in the morning and place it in a ziploc. It packs away easy but large enough to wrap around your neck to cool you off.
