As the celebration of Walt Disney World‘s 50th Anniversary quickly approaches, attractions across property continue to receive touch-ups to prepare for the big day. The roof of the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland is in the process of being painted a vibrant new color scheme.
As we reported a few weeks ago, the inside of the roof has already been painted a bright pink, but the outside was left as its original color. We knew it was only a matter of time before it also received a fresh coat of paint and we’re so happy to see how nicely this ride is being updated.
Since this project is still a work in progress, the differences between the old and new looks are very easy to see. The old color was a dull and worn teal, while the new is the vivid blue that we are seeing incorporated throughout the parks. We can’t wait to see the final product soon!
The Mad Tea Party
Pour yourself into an oversized pastel teacup and twirl through a wild wonderland of color and song. As the party gets underway, sail back and forth around a towering teapot as festive music fills the air.
Mad Tea Party is inspired by the Mad Hatter’s party sequence in Walt Disney’s animated classic Alice in Wonderland and modeled after the iconic 1955 Disneyland Park attraction.
As an attraction that guests both young and old can enjoy, the Mad Tea Party is a favorite among many families. While some prefer an easy-breezy ride, my family prefers to spin as fast as we can! What is your “tea party style?” Leave us a comment below to share!
