Even in these uncertain times, you can still find acts of kindness and stories of hope. For instance, two Florida Sheriff Deputies recently helped a young boy achieve his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer.
The young boy is a cancer patient who spent his last 6 months going to doctor’s appointments and receiving medical treatments. His family took him to Disney World in the end of September as a special treat. While visiting Disney Springs, two Orange County Sheriff deputies presented Alex with a badge to make his dream come true.
Alex is 9 years old and is currently fighting brain cancer. He has always dreamed of becoming a law enforcement officer. @OrangeCoSheriff Deputies Ryan Ouellette & Nicolas Stowe met Alex at Disney Springs in September and gifted him with his very own badge. #StarOnTheStreet pic.twitter.com/H6Et2DxXaq

The full details of the story were available on the Orange County Sheriffs Office Facebook page.
Nine-year-old Alex is fighting brain cancer and last week was the first time in six months without a doctor’s appointment, blood work, or chemotherapy.
To celebrate, Alex’s parents, both University of Central Florida grads who now live in Punta Gorda, brought him to Walt Disney World.
While at Disney Springs, Alex met OCSO Deputies Ryan Ouellette and Nicolas Stowe. Since the age of 3, Alex has dreamed of becoming a law enforcement officer. Every time Alex sees a law enforcement officer, he stops to say hello.
Deputies Ouellette and Stowe gave Alex a badge with his name on it.
“They made his night,” Alex’s mom told us.
It’s great to see the Orange County Sheriffs helping a boy achieve one of his dreams.
