Orange County Mayor thinks Mask Mandate could be lifted this summer

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said in a press conference yesterday that the mask mandate could be relaxed this summer.

Demings previously stated that the mask mandate could be lifted by June but now it’s looking more like late summer. Physical distancing and temperature check guidelines could be lifted even earlier than the mask mandate.

Even if Orange County lifts the mask mandate and other COVID-related guidelines, private businesses like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando make their own rules regarding masks and physical distancing. Disney World could end up keeping their COVID health and safety guidelines for some time.

Walt Disney World has started to relax some of their rules. Face masks can now be removed for photos while outside. You can watch Mayor Demings press conference below:
