On Monday Mayor of Orange County, Jerry Demings answered questions and gave an update on the rising numbers of Coronavirus in the county. One of the questions asked was if Walt Disney World would follow Hong Kong Disneyland in once again closing down parks. Walt Disney World officially opened two of its parks Saturday, July 11th with two more opening to the public tomorrow July 15th.

Mayor Demings replied, if the county exceeds hospital capacity and if any outbreaks are associated with Disney, the county “won’t hesitate to ask Disney to reevaluate the reopening.” You can listen to the full press conference above. The question asked happens towards the very end. Hong Kong Disneyland announced yesterday that it would be reclosing on July 15th. So far there seems to be no plan to reclose the Florida parks.
