North Carolina Woman Wore a Buzz Lightyear Helmet to the Store Because She Didn’t Have a Mask. We all know the iconic space suit worn by all Space Rangers in the Galactic Alliance, the most notable being Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, but it seems the “alien” tech is useful on planet Earth too!
When Kelly Hogan Painter didn’t have a mask at home she had to get creative in order to go out grocery shopping for her family. That’s when she found her kids Buzz Lightyear mask and decided that was how she would shield her face while shopping for groceries. Painter shared a 36-second video explaining why she was out in public wearing a child’s toy to protect herself, but we think it was a genius way to stay within state health guidelines and some much needed comic relief to other shoppers and essential workers.
We think Buzz would make Kelly an honorary Space Ranger for finding this creative solution in a tense time. You can watch Kelly’s full video here:
We love that Kelly found humor in sharing her adventure and as Disney Fans we love this story even more! What creative solutions are you coming up with to stay in healthcare guidelines? We would love to see your photos and stories in the comments.
