Jack Skellington Actor Speaks out about Possible Sequel to Nightmare Before Christmas

For years, people have speculated about a sequel that would return fans to the world created in ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’, and now actor Chris Sarandon is opening up about rumors of a sequel as well.

Sarandon was a guest on a podcast, The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul, when the host asked about a follow-up film. Sarandon said that while he doesn’t have the power to get it done, he’s heard rumors just like everyone else.

“Essentially, I have nothing to do with it,” Sarandon said. “I can’t pick up the phone and call Tim Burton and say, ‘OK let’s go! Let’s do Nightmare Before Christmas 2!’ I’m the hired gun in this equation. And whether it would be me in a sequel or not… I don’t know. At the same time I respect Tim’s thoughts. I mean this happened with The Princess Bride where there was a great demand for a sequel… I don’t know how Tim feels. I’ve heard various things, but they could be true or not.”

The Nightmare Before Christmas, released in 1993, was a critical and commercial success. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences, and has since become a cult classic. The film has a loyal fan base and has had a lasting impact on popular culture. It has inspired merchandise, a video game, and a stage musical, among other things. The film has also been re-released in theaters multiple times, and has been released on various home video formats. The film’s success has made it one of the most recognizable and popular stop-motion animated films of all time. The film grossed over $50 million at the box office, which is small by today’s standards.

Do we need another Nightmare Before Christmas film? Let us know in a comment. If Hocus Pocus 2 is any indication, we might see a follow-up Nightmare Before Christmas on Disney+ sooner rather than later.
