Epcot is currently undergoing a series of massive changes in part of its redesign for the future. While it will take time to construct the upcoming attractions inside the theme park, there has been an update on construction elsewhere.
They recently completed the construction of the parking lot entrance at Epcot in the past week. The new tram drop-off area and security check is now open to the public.
Tram Drop-off
For months guests have been seeing construction walls when entering the park from Epcot’s parking lot. The tram loop was shortened due to construction and guests had to walk on a slightly longer detour walkway to reach the entrance.
The newly unveiled tram loop brings guests closer to the entrance and drops them off near the security check. This will please many Disney fans who missed the convenience of tram transpiration before the construction. With a quicker and more efficient tram route, it’ll be easier for guests to get into Epcot upon parking!
New Security Check
The redesigned parking lot entrance introduced a new security check for guests. The new location is closer to the tram arrival area. The removal of the construction walls has opened a more direct pathway for guests to walk straight to the security check. Some good news for those who take the monorail transportation to Epcot is that they no longer have to go through two screening checkpoints. The new security screening is intended for those who arrived by bus or entered via the parking lot.
