New Trailer and Poster Drop for TRON: Ares — Plus First Nine Inch Nails Song in 5 Years!
The Grid is glowing again. Disney has just released a brand-new trailer, poster, and images for TRON: Ares, the third installment in the high-tech TRON saga, set to electrify theaters on October 10. And the buzz doesn’t stop there: Grammy-winning rock legends Nine Inch Nails have stepped into the spotlight, dropping their first new song in five years as part of the film’s soundtrack.

Titled “As Alive As You Need Me To Be,” the single is featured in the new trailer and offers a pulsing, cinematic first taste of the TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)—the first full film score by the band, releasing September 19 via Interscope Records. While Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are no strangers to film scores (hello, Oscars and Emmys), this marks the first time Nine Inch Nails has officially scored an entire feature under the band name.
Directed by Joachim Rønning, TRON: Ares stars Jared Leto as Ares, a highly advanced Program sent from the digital world into our own—a mission that brings humanity face-to-face with artificial intelligence for the very first time. The cast also includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges, returning to the TRON universe once more.

Produced by a powerhouse team including Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and original TRON creator Steven Lisberger, this sequel promises to expand the legacy of the groundbreaking franchise while tapping directly into today’s hot-button themes of AI, identity, and what it means to be “alive.”
