New Sports and Entertainment District Coming to Orlando

The future of Orlando’s sports and entertainment scene has a name: Westcourt. City officials and developers officially unveiled the moniker this week after receiving final approval from the Orlando City Council.

Westcourt will be a mixed-use development situated directly north of the Kia Center, encompassing a variety of offerings designed to transform the area into a vibrant hub.

This ambitious project boasts a diverse range of elements, catering to residents, businesses, and tourists alike. Here’s a breakdown of what Westcourt will offer:


  • Residential Living:: 270 high-rise residences will provide upscale living options with breathtaking city views.
  • Hospitality Sector: A full-service hotel will cater to visitors seeking a convenient and luxurious stay.
  • Commercial Hub: Up to 300,000 square feet of Class A office space will attract businesses seeking a dynamic work environment.
  • Entertainment Destination: 120,000 square feet dedicated to entertainment, dining, and retail will offer a plethora of options for dining, shopping, and catching a movie.
  • Live Events Venue: A 3,500-capacity venue will host concerts, shows, and other exciting events.
  • Meeting Spaces: Multiple meeting spaces will cater to conferences, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
  • Parking Convenience: A spacious 1,140-stall parking garage will ensure a hassle-free visit.
  • Outdoor Oasis: 1.5 acres of inviting outdoor common area, featuring a central 28,000-square-foot urban living room, will provide a space for relaxation and socializing.

Construction for Westcourt is slated to begin later this year, with an anticipated completion date in late 2026 or early 2027.
