New signage coming to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Disney’s Magic Kingdom
Disney has filed new permits suggesting signage improvements at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom. The contractor listed is Design Communications Ltd., the same company overseeing sign installations at the new Spaceship Earth lounge in EPCOT and previously involved in signage projects for the Magic Kingdom Disney Vacation Club lounge and Test Track. While the permit is for the installation of “signage,” any specifics beyond this remain a mystery.

This development raises a few questions, given that Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe underwent a refurbishment as recently as last year. It’s possible the new permit wraps up any lingering work from that renovation, but it might also point to an unrelated project in the same area.
