New shops and new art are making their way to the Disney Springs shopping and entertainment district.
Just in time for holiday shopping, new shops are opening this fall. With more than 100 stores already, Disney Springs is one of the best places to shop in the Orlando area.
On October 12, dog lovers will have a new place from which to buy Disney-themed gifts for Rover. Disney Tails will open at the Marketplace Co-op. It will feature mostly items for dogs, but the shop will have a few things for feline lovers too. Disney Tails already has two character-inspired collections–Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. The shop will soon debut two new collections–a Star Wars collection and a Haunted Mansion collection. The shop will also offer Disney food-inspired toys for pets, like a Mickey pretzel and a Mickey waffle.
Beginning November 3, The Art of Disney will feature a new offering in the building that once housed Little Miss Matched. Artist Greg McCullough will be there Tuesdays through Sundays, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. His collections–the Disney Remnants Collection and the Abstract Remnants Collection–showcase pieces made with recycled oil paints. The exhibit will last until January 1, 2019. Guests will be able to have artwork signed, see Greg paint and even talk with him about his pieces and the inspiration behind them.
Another new shop will open at Marketplace Co-op. Lovepop sells exquisite detailed greeting cards. These hand-assembled works of art make beautiful keepsakes, and soon you’ll be able to buy them at Disney Springs.
In addition to these new spots, Basin’s extensive refurbishment is set to be complete in about a week. Now you’ll be able to enjoy those wonderful enticing scents inside a newly-painted shop with brighter colors and a fresher look.
We can’t to start our holiday shopping, and Disney Springs is the perfect place to begin!
