Frequent visitors to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA may have noticed recently that there are some new security checkpoints and changes for guests entering the parks.
According to The Orange County Register there are new security screening areas on the west side of the resort. Beginning Thursday, visitors coming from the Disneyland Hotel, the Downtown Disney parking area, or the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, will be screened before getting to Downtown Disney or boarding the trams.
Also, on both sides of the ESPN Zone new tents, metal detectors and fencing have been set up for these security screening areas. Once the new checkpoints are in use, the current westside security screening area will be dismantled, making it easier for visitors to go from theme park to theme park, and into Downtown Disney.
