New Seating Area outside Connections Cafe in Epcot. Seating in and around the new World Celebration has been hard to come by since the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Looking to solve this issue, Disney decided to just throw more tables and chairs at the situation, instead of understanding why this is happening.
We can pinpoint the exact reason. People wanna sit while waiting to ride Disney’s newest roller coaster. Guests want air conditioning and to get off their feet out of the sun. Now, guests who want to sit and enjoy coffee or lunch at Connections Cafe and Eatery are out of luck finding a place to sit down because of this.

We know this is happening, especially between 11:30 am and 1:00 PM. Just listen to the crowd buzz and the cheering that happens at 1:00 PM every day. Those are the people taking up the space waiting for Guardians. Not all those guests are eating either.
This is not to say we have a solution, but look at what Disney is already doing at Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can mobile order, or can enter and go straight to the counter and order food. The inside is not filled with guests using tables at the quick service restaurant and not eating.
In the meantime, while Disney solves Connections Cafe and Eatery doctor’s office waiting room issues, they added a New Seating Area with a whole bunch more tables and chairs outside in the breezeway between Connections and Creation Shop.
