“Queen of Katwe” is one of Disney’s upcoming films that is based on the true story of a young girl Phiona from a poor village in Uganda. Phiona discovers her passion for the game of chess, and with the support of her village of Katwe she pursues her dream of becoming an international chess champion. A brand new featurette, “Labor of Love” has been released by Disney, giving us more of an inside look on filming the film actually in Katwe:
The film stars Madina Nalwanga as 10-year old Phiona, Lupita Nyong’o (Harriet) and David Oyelowo, and directed by Mira Nair. You can check out the previously released featurette below:
