America loves peanuts and peanut butter. But ever since I moved here I’ve noticed that you won’t find other nuts very often in desserts. I am as big a fan of peanut butter as the next person, but there’s so much more. So it’s delightful to see that Vivoli Il Gelato has added a cannoli to the menu which features pistachios right in the filling!

The new Pistachio Cannolo is the new dessert you’ll find at Vivoli Il Gelato in Disney Springs. It is a creamy, nutty, crunchy, sweet delight! A crispy Italian pastry shell is filled with a pistachio ricotta cheese sweet cream, then topped with chocolate chips. Cannoli are a staple at Vivoli Il Gelato, but these taste even more authentic and delicious. Did you know that pistachios have been grown in Italy since the first century AD? They are also a favorite flavoring for desserts there. Try one for yourself at $7.00 apiece.

Even if you’re not a pistachio-lover, there is a cannoli for you! Vivoli Il Gelato also has many other flavors. There is Traditional Cannoli, Cake Batter Cannoli, Cafe Cannoli, Maple Bacon Cannoli, and Peanut Butter Cannoli (of course!). If you’re anything like me, you’ll want to get a little gelato to go with it too. I recommend the Cannoli or Stracciatella flavors. They’re a trip to Italy for your tastebuds!
