Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been closed since January for refurbishment. Disney has recently filed additional permits related to the refurbishment, which is slated to run into the summer.

The new permits do not point toward any changes coming to the ride. The popular coaster had experienced extended down times leading up to the closure. The refurbishment work, and subsequent permits, are likely tied to the issues behind those extended down times.

The ride closes around the same time each year for refurbishment, with these closures typically accompanied by the perennial rumor that Aerosmith will be replaced. No indication from Disney hints at any changes to the ride, including replacing Aerosmith with any other band.
