We recently shared that the giant guitar at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been covered in scaffolding. At the time we assumed some kind of refurbishment was happening. Now we have confirmation that work is being done on the guitar.

Disney has filed a permit for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s location, specifically the iconic guitar. The permit states generalized work will be done on the guitar like “sand, prime and paint exterior guitar icon”. Nothing major will be changing.
Rumors have been circulating that the attraction will be getting a retheme as Aerosmith will be giving Universal Music Group the rights to their music next year. Disney has not made any announcement confirming such rumors. Stay tuned for more information!
