The wilderness must be explored!
Animal Kingdom reopened this past July 11th! So that means one of the park interactive experiences, “Wilderness Explorers” where guests can follow in the footsteps of Russell from UP and earn adventure badges around the park is back!
But of course with all the healthy measures in place at Animal Kingdom now, this experience has been modified a little.
Starting with social distancing signs on the floor, now you have to wait in line until is your turn to come to the table and talk with the Cast Member, no more crowds gathering around the table.
And speaking of Cast Members, since the Disney programs were temporarily canceled, cultural representative cast members are not working right now so that cultural part will be missed.
The handbooks are still given out but you will notice some badges have been combined due to some experiences not being available like the Boneyard play area, so you will receive both badges at DinoLAND U.S.A.
Lastly, guests will have to peel off their own stickers from a clipboard placed on the table instead of the Cast Member handing them out like before.
We are glad the Wilderness Explorers experience is not completely gone so you can still have some fun going on an adventure around the park!
