Look at this snack, isn’t it sweet? We’re talking about the new Mermaid Cream Horn now being served at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort! In recent years, the mermaid trend has certainly taken off in many forms, but our favorite has to be the form we can eat: dessert! We want to be part of that world!
Located inside the Grand Floridian Resort, Gasparilla Island Grill has been home to some pretty fantastic desserts lately. However, this Mermaid Tail Cream Horn is a unique and delicious find that won’t be compared to anything else you’ll find at the Parks.
The outside of the tail is green (just like Ariel! But don’t worry; we imagine that no mermaids were harmed in the making of this dessert) and sugary. The tail itself is made of puff pastry and lends a delightful bite as we delve into the cream itself, which is a pineapple coconut flavor. It takes us straight to the islands!

Make this dessert Part of Your World. New Pineapple Coconut Mermaid Tail at the Grand Floridian! This delicious snack is really good with the flavors of the cream in the center. The back flippers are chocolate. It's $5.99 or a snack credit. @waltdisneyworld #waltdisneyworld #littlemermaid #thelittlemermaid #disneysnacks #disneytreats #grandfloridian #gaspirillaislandgrill
The look of the tail is made complete with white chocolate flippers and a decorative shell at the top. The cream is sealed into the pastry shell with bright colorful sprinkles. Is there anything this little beauty lacks? Doubtful. The treat costs $5.99 before tax or can be claimed with a Disney snack credit. Not a bad deal compared to other Disney munchables.
Honestly, it’s refreshing to have some options coming into Walt Disney World that aren’t cupcakes and cookies. We love a bit of innovation and this Mermaid Cream Horn definitely stands out… swims out? Either way, if you’re a pastry fan you’ll want to make sure you head over to the Grand Floridian while it’s available! Otherwise, you might be a ”poor unfortunate soul” without it.
