Are you looking for a new resort to stay at during your next visit to Walt Disney World? If so, I have good news for you! Rumors have been circulating for some time now but Orlando Business Journal has confirmed that a decision has been reached by Tishman Real Estate, Metlife Investment Management, and Disney to build a third hotel on the current site of the Swan’s tennis courts. Tishman and Metlife are the owners of the current Swan & Dolphin Hotels.
Construction on the new hotel is supposed to begin this Fall with a completion date of 2020. Once open, the new hotel will will be 14 stories tall and offer 349 guest rooms.
The new hotel will offer the following amenities:
- Meeting rooms and roof top terrace: Over 21,000 total square feet of meeting space will be available throughout three floors.
- Rooftop terrace: The top floor will be designed to offer views of nightly firework displays at nearby Epcot and Hollywood Studios Parks.
- Restaurant: An onsite restaurant will offer 75 seats and a 50-seat bar with lounge area.
- Guest rooms: The hotel will be comprised of 198 standard hotel rooms along with 151 suites offering private executive meeting areas with state-of-the-art technology.
- Outdoor space: A lushly landscaped 16,800 square-foot elevated deck featuring a fire pit and a 90-foot long pool will be available for guests enjoyment.
- Fitness center: A fully-equipped health club center with private changing rooms will be available for hotel guests.

Tishman, principal and vice chairman of Tishman, in a prepared statement. “This expansion is an exciting continuation of our commitment to delivering a best-in-class experience for all resort guests, and is consistent with our recent enhancement of the Dolphin lobbies and resort guestrooms.”
