New Fantasmic signs have been spotted in Hollywood Studios! One of Walt Disney World’s beloved nighttime spectaculars, the show features Mickey Mouse himself, battling Disney Villains. It’s a fantastic display of Disney’s pyrotechnic capabilities and love of special effects. Unfortunately, it’s been a long time since anyone has enjoyed this particular experience. It’s been unavailable since Walt Disney World’s closure last year and no hints have been given as to when it will rejoin the lineup.

The new banners could be an indication that Disney is looking to bring back more live entertainment. It should also be noted that this could just be part of the ongoing effort to revitalize Walt Disney World in time for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Many rides and experiences have been refurbished lately to make sure everything is new and fresh when festivities kick off in October. At this time we can see the amphitheater’s lagoon is still drained, so it’s unlikely to be utilized soon.

Walt Disney World attractions have by and large gone through a health and safety makeover to accommodate CDC guidelines. Queues have social distancing markers, vehicles often have plexiglass installed, hand sanitizing stations have been installed at the ride exits, etc. Certainly, plans are already being put in place to prioritize the safety of guests when restarting nighttime shows.
