New eats and treats are making their way through the menus in the Magic Kingdom.
In the eats department
- Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe (Tomorrowland) is serving 1/3 pound angus burger, beef salad, vegetable sandwich, turkey sandwich, deluxe chili dog and gelato.
- Columbia Inn Harbor House (Liberty Square) is offering baked salmon with couscous, lobster roll, broccoli peppercorn salad and steamed fresh broccoli.
- Also changing, the price of soda (a.k.a. “pop” for those of us from the mid-west) has increased from $2.19 to $2.59 and from $2.49 to $2.89.
In the treats department
- The Frontierland Pretzel Wagon (between Pecos Bill Cafe and the Diamond Horseshoe) is now test driving the Mickey pretzel, which is popular in the Disneyland parks. Cheese and chocolate dipping sauces are available for your pretzel for an additional cost.
It’s nice to see Disney expanding the menus at quick service restaurants but there are some old favorites I’d love to see come back on the menu…mainly the ham sandwich at Columbia Inn Harbor House…it was topped with that delicious broccoli slaw…those were the days!

I can’t wait to try the Mickey pretzel, I saw a picture of one from Disneyland and have been wanting one ever since
Yes, you can use a snack credit. They do up-sell cheese to go with it for dipping, the cheese doesn’t come with it so they’ll charge you an additional snack if you get the cheese on the snack plan. The cheese is $1; so you’re better off paying for that out of pocket.
I can’t wait to see and try the pretziles. Would it be a snack credit if you are on the dining plan?
I miss the Beef Barley soup at Cinderella’s Royal Table…they used to have it as a standard on the menu a decade ago and it re-appeared a few months ago and i was THRILLED. They use the prime rib in it and the flavor is fantastic! I was so excited when we went in July, I couldn’t wait to get that soup…it was already off the menu. Talk about disappointment!
I really miss the “Handwich” they had years ago. So yummy, and yet convenient to walk & eat!
I’m really pleased with some of the new menu items, particularly the salmon plate at CHH and the veggie offering at Cosmic Ray’s. My husband and son, oddly enough, do not like the taste of Angus beef, so that goes in the minus column. We all wish they still had the Asian noodle and rice dishes available at the Tomorrowland Terrace. And I miss the breakfast pizza that was served at the Electric Umbrella in Epcot. That was only the second meal I’d ever had at WDW and it was so worth the calories.
