New Details Revealed About Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Coming to Disney+. Ewan McGregor has finally been able to share more information about his new Star Wars Series coming to Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+. One of the most surprising details, was McGregor’s ability to keep the secret for four years!

According to Comicbook.com, the Kenobi series will take place 8 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and follow Obi-Wan through the process of recovering after losing Anakin to the Dark Side and seeing most of the Jedi Order slaughtered or forced to flee to safety in the far reaches of the galaxy, away from the Empire’s grasp. We will likely get to find out why Obi-Wan changes his name to Ben Kenobi while on Tatooine.. More than likely this is simply to avoid being found by The Empire, but there may be more to that than meets the eye.

Ewan McGregor recently sat down for an insightful interview with Men’s Journal and divulged some new insight to the Disney+ series he has had to keep secret for 4 years!

“The storyline sits between Episode III and Episode IV,” McGregor explained, adding that “the Jedi Order was falling apart. It will be interesting to take a character we know in a way and show him—Well, his arc will be quite interesting, I think, dealing with that the fact that all the Jedi were slaughtered with the end of Episode III. It’s quite something to get over.”
