Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and to Disneyland park in California. At this weekend’s D23 Expo, Disney released brand new details of the first of its kind attraction.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the attraction is set to open next year! The attraction will be located at the Chinese Theater, which once held the Great Movie Ride. Guests will be transported to a cartoon world. You will then board a train with Goofy as your engineer. Then, you will be off on your fun and exciting adventure!
At California’s Disneyland park, the attraction will open in 2022. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be located in Mickey’s Toontown.
The attraction will immerse guests in the world of the popular and Emmy award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts. The attraction with take you on a multidimensional journey with a completely original story and new original theme song!
We can’t wait to experience this attraction on both coasts!

I so Excited for Mickey And Minnie’s Runaway railway! I will be my favorite ride when it’s opens next year.
I am not really very interested or looking forward to the opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway railroad, however, Disney always does a great job so I will have to keep an open mind. I loved The Great Movie Ride, & it was an appropriate attraction for the whole premise of the movies theme at Hollywood Studios. But from what I have seen & heard this new ride does not sound like it is a good fit for the Studios, but time will tell!
