New Construction Photos of Moana Journey of Water & Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Check out some of the images below that we took while riding the monorail into Epcot yesterday. We got to see the construction is almost done on the walkways for the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Also, it appears that the Play Pavillion contribution on the outside area is almost complete. Epcot construction is moving along.
On the Guardian’s side of the construction, the pavement is almost fully complete, including the walkway to the new Play Pavillion. The last thing that needs to be done is the installation of the new Sun/Star statue that will grace the outside of the entrance to the new roller coaster. Along with some major planting of flowers and trees. Hopefully, we hear something soon from Disney on the progress, it has been over 2 years since they last talked about the new coaster.

Moana’s Journey of Water Construction is making serious progress in construction. After months of demolition, and clearing debris, we finally can see the foundation. You can see the photo below. Obviously, we have no opening date, we do know that it has been delayed until after 2021 due to the pandemic shut down last year.
The Moana – Journey of Water attraction will be an immersive walkthrough experience where guests can interact with “magical, living water.”
Construction Photos show the new Creation Shop is open across the construction site. Many tents are set up with tables for workers to get out of the sun.
