New Construction Permits for Tron Lightcycle Run in the Magic Kingdom!
The new TRON Lightcycle Run coaster in Magic Kingdom has entered its testing phase! We’ve watched the attraction be constructed in Tomorrowland for years now and we can’t wait for it to be completed. Now, two new construction permits have been filed for the ride.

Both of the permits are for the purpose of fabricating and installing show set items, which most likely means that the ride is getting close to completion. You can see the permits for yourself here and here.
Icarus Exhibits, the contractor listed on the permits, is a “a Specialty Fabrication Shop working primarily with the Themed Entertainment, Museums and Exhibits Industries.”

TRON was originally supposed to open during the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration. That celebration is happening now and will last through early 2023. There is a chance the attraction could open before the celebration ends, but Disney has not announced any kind of opening date.
With these new permits being filed it’s looking like the ride will open sooner rather than later! We certainly hope that’s the case!
