New Awning Visible on Epcot's Test Track

New Awning Spotted as Test Track Refurbishment Rolls On at EPCOT

During a recent trip to EPCOT, we got a peek at some exciting progress behind the construction walls at Test Tracka brand-new awning structure is now visible near the ride’s entrance! The previous awning, which had long served as a signature element of the attraction’s exterior, was completely removed during the early demolition phase of the refurbishment. Now, a new structure has taken its place, signaling that this overhaul is moving full speed ahead.

The fresh awning appears to align with the updated, retro-futuristic aesthetic Disney teased when the Test Track reimagining was first announced. Drawing inspiration from World of Motion, the attraction that originally occupied this space, the revamped Test Track is expected to merge nostalgia with next-gen design.

While Disney hasn’t revealed many details about what changes are coming to the ride experience itself—or provided a specific reopening date beyond “later in 2025”—this newly installed awning gives us our first tangible sign that the transformation is truly underway.

For now, Test Track remains closed, with construction walls still in place. But if this new addition is any indication, we’re inching closer to what promises to be an exciting new chapter for one of EPCOT’s most beloved attractions. Keep those eyes peeled—there’s more to come!
