The Walt Disney Company always upgrades their technology to stay afloat with current technology. Today, we see they are now installing 5G cell towers for the Epcot resorts.
These towers ensure that all guests can get high-speed connection and service. Having better cellular service will improve the speed for guests who are trying to utilize the My Disney Experience app. Soon you’ll have more efficient cell service for conducting tasks such as mobile orders or checking the wait times for attractions.
To summarize, 5G is the fifth generation mobile network. It’s meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, more reliability, massive network capacity, and increased availability. Overall, it’s a new kind of network made to allow a more uniform user experience for people.
These 5G cell towers cover less distance than 4G, which is why you’ll see more towers coming to Disney Parks and Resorts areas.
These towers will surely benefit Disney guests in the long run. Especially since new features are continuously being added to the My Disney Experience app. These cell towers are still going through an installation period. So, it might take time before guests can fully utilize 5G service at Epcot Resorts.
