The Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Events Map will assist you with devising a plan of action for enjoying your evening at this special event.  When attending any special-ticketed-event at Walt Disney World, it is important to have a plan in place.  You may wish to determine what is most important to you as a group, a family, or even if you are planning to attend alone.

Map

First you will need to decide what entertainment experiences you wish to enjoy most.  The entertainment section of the events map lists all of the shows names and times.  It also includes a brief overview of each experience.  The events map contains a list of locations where specialty merchandise can be found.  If specialty event food is of interest to you, these are also listed along with the locations you can purchase these items.  For the young, and the young at heart, Treat Locations are specified as well.  If a member of your party has food allergies, they will receive a teal treat bag and will be given a teal token at each treat station that they can turn in for allergy-friendly treats.

The map lists the dining locations that are open as well as the attractions.  Please note that while most rides are open, some are also closed during the event.  The key feature on the back side of the map is the Event Highlights.  Trick-or-Treat locations are marked on the map with a Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern.  The character dance party area is presented as a purple circle enclosing musical notes. Event Merchandise is located throughout the park and symbolized with a purple and green jack-o-lantern purse.  Disney Character locations are represented with a black Mickey head profile.  The line of winding red dots defines the parade route.  Allergy-friendly centers are noted with a teal and purple bag.  Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular takes place on the Castle Forecourt Stage and it’s location has a black oval shape encasing a purple witches cauldron with bubbling green potion.

You can arrive as early as 4:00pm with the event officially starting at 7:00pm.  I was there for premiere night on September 2nd and at 5:30pm, the wait time was already 2 hours for Jack Skellington and Sally.  At 7:30pm there was a one hour wait for the Seven Dwarfs so we skipped that as well.  Attraction wait times were anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour.  Even with an early arrival at 4:00pm, it is impossible to do everything that is available to you.  For my party, we wanted to spend some time trick-or-treating and we planned to see the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade, Celebrate the Magic, and Happy Hallowishes.  There was literally no time for rides and meeting characters based on our must-do’s.  Having a basic plan in place will be important in the preparation and enjoyment of your special event.

Do you prefer to have a plan, or do you just “wing -it” when you attend special-ticketed-events at the Walt Disney World Parks?
