Natalie Portman Shares More Details About Her Return to the MCU in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘. Natalie Portman will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder. The film is set to be directed by Taika Waititi (The Mandalorian, Thor: Ragnarok) and Portman will star alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie). It’s also been shared by cast members that Christian Bale is set to play the mysterious villain for the film.
Recently, Serena Williams and Natalie Portman “interviewed” each other for People.com. Serena asked Natalie about her upcoming role as Lady Thor in the sequel and Portman shared, “She’s actually The Mighty Thor. The comics had the female Thor when Jane becomes Thor, and she’s The Mighty Thor.”
Willams continued by asking if they had begun filming before the pandemic began earlier this year and Natalie confirmed the studios has not begun filming Love and Thunder just yet. “We haven’t started,” stated Natalie. “More time to get jacked. Which I have not. I’ve got the carbo-loading down, but not the exercise part. Obviously everything is weird because of pandemic time, who knows what’s happening,” she continued. “It will be exciting and I’m interested to see if I can gain muscle.”
