Recently, Mylan announced the launch of a unique set of multimedia resources and events in collaboration with Disney. This launch signifies an exciting chapter between the companies aimed at raising awareness of anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction). Together, they are working to bring engaging content and experiences to the millions of families in the U.S. managing potentially life-threatening (severe) allergies.
As part of the effort, Mylan and Disney have launched MyAllergyKingdom.com, a new website that features recommendations, tips for newly diagnosed patients, crafts/projects, recipes, blog posts and real-life stories from experts and parents. The content on the website will be updated monthly and is designed to help address a serious topic that can sometimes be frightening in an engaging, non-threatening way.
While on the website, visitors can also enter the Savor the Magic Sweepstakes* for a chance to win a Walt Disney World Vacation and enjoy a special dining experience at one of three Walt Disney World Resort restaurants.
Additional alliance efforts include:
- Mylan and Disney Publishing Worldwide will launch a children’s story book and a cookbook featuring more than 40 unique recipes inspired by some of the most beloved Disney characters.
- Mylan, in collaboration with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, will also sponsor a series of food allergy-friendly programs and culinary demonstrations at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this fall. The events will feature notable chefs and food-allergy moms sharing recipes free of the top eight food allergens and highlighting tips for how to manage a severe allergy, whether at home, dining out or on vacation.
This is awesome and will be a huge help to those of us who have allergies, or loved ones with allergies.
What do think?
Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust
