The 90th Academy Award Nominees celebrating the best films of 2017 have been announced and Disney is well represented. Unsurprisingly Coco, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Beauty and the Beast all made the cut. I’m also happy to report that the Disney/Pixar animated short “Lou” and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are also contenders to bring home an Oscar.
The Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PST. The ceremony will be televised by ABC and comedian Jimmy Kimmel will host for a second consecutive year. Fun Fact: this will make Kimmel the first person to host back-to-back ceremonies since Billy Crystal in 1997 and 1998.
