The monorail was out of service for a few months due to refurbishment, but now is back looking better then ever, let’s take a look:

First of all, on the outside you will notice that the red stripe now is outlined with black and also feature some black details under some windows.
Inside the color of the walls now feature a really bright red with the words “Monorail Red” on one corner and “Walt Disney World Monorail System” in the middle. It also has some red details around the ceiling, as well as some new warning signs above the doors warning guest to please stay clear of the doors or should we say “por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas.”
Due to social distancing measures, all the monorails now have vinyl dividers that separate the seat sections, as well as, distancing barriers in the rows to keep parties apart. No more seating all closed together.
And speaking of seats, they also got a makeover and are now gray, way better then those teal seats it had before. Take a look at the monorail red in action in the video below:
Monorail red is currently running between Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian and the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). The Polynesian monorail station continues under construction.
